Jason,
Buy a can of 'Cable Life'. Comes with a little metal and rubber dohicky
that clamps over the end of the cable. Once you have the clamp on you
squirt the cable juice through the included tube into the clamp and juice is
forced all the way down the length of the cable. You don't even need to
take the cable all the way off the bike. Believe me, I don't like fancy
stuff but this thing works. You need to do it a few times to get the knack
of it but soon you will be fully lubing all cables in a jiffy.
Best, Bob

Subject: oiling brake/clutch cables

So I'm dripping oil down the brake cable on the Eldo- same as I've
always done it. It's messy, it's hard to get the oil to go down into
the hole, yadda, yadda, yadda. I think 'there's got to be a better way'
so I'm soliciting advice. Any advice? My technique is brute force and
ignorance. I don't really recommend it.
I was thinking that maybe I could get some tubing and zip tie one end
onto the end of the cable, and the other onto an oil (like WD40) spray
nozzle, then pressure-feed oil into the housing.

What do ya'll do?
Jason
