Subject: Throttle Cable

I have the chain type throttle mechanism. Inside there is a little
"cup" at the end of the chain that accepts the throttle cable end
fitting. My question: what shape end fitting is used there? I could
imagine a ball end or a barrel end. Anyone have one they could open up
and report for me?
