I've seen DIY kits. The basic kits are similar to the price of
chroming, but might be worthwhile if you plan to chrome many parts over
the years. It's messy, and I don't know what kind of quality an amateur
can achieve.

I'm pretty sure chroming is expensive. Thaty's why I'm trying to
find one
that isn't too expensive and does good work.
A while back soemone mentioned that there was some powder coating
that
simulated chrome. Is that expensive too? Anyone try it?
Any DIY chrome kits available? (doubtful)
