ChromeMasters is just down the street from me and have an
excellent reputation. I've seen their work close-up (about five
projects). The chrome is thick and deep. Museum quality to very
good,
but I've seen one job on Triumph pipes that looked rough. The
pipes
were deeply pitted prior and chrome looked lumpy post. Probably
a prep
issue. I don't know if CM did the prep.
I think they do the chrome work for that Orange County
Choppers
group that's on the TV.
Have they done an MG tank?
I'll try to stop by this afternoon and ask them what
they'll
charge. Maybe they'll give us a group discount if we can put
several
tanks together.

turn around
times are decent.
Also, I was reading somewhere, there is now available a
chrome
look powder
coating finish, I have not seen it in person though.

chroming, but might be worthwhile if you plan to chrome
many
parts over
the years. It's messy, and I don't know what kind of
quality an
amateur
can achieve.

I'm pretty sure chroming is expensive. Thaty's why

that isn't too expensive and does good work.
A while back soemone mentioned that there was some

coating
that
simulated chrome. Is that expensive too? Anyone
try it?
Any DIY chrome kits available? (doubtful)
