San Francisco Bay.

A month back someone posted a brief announcement that Pyramid Brewerey in
Berkeley would be showing "Harold and Maude" on an outdoor wall as a charity
fundraiser. Regina and I rode up last Saturday night. There was one other BMW
and one Kawasaki and our lone Guzzi. What's up? This movie is famous for Guzzi
Eldorado footage. Where were you all? The beer was cheap and plentiful and
very good. BTW, I've often heard about this movie and its feature of Guzzi
footage. But, nobody ever told me it was partly filmed right here in Fremont.
That big chase scene was filmed on the Fremont side of the old Dumbarton
Bridge and causeway before it was all modernized. Regina rides that bridge every
day for work and my brother had the last head-on on the old bridge before they
opened the new one (he came out just fine, but his Toyota was toast.) Cool
flick. Obviously filmed in the spring as the background hills were nice and
green.
