There are 18 (eight-teen) bolts !!!
Don't slap before you've found them all - please!!!

That is if it is a model with internal filter in the pan.
On early non filter models there are only 14.

off. Don't pry against the cases, but a steel part like the frame.

straight-forward, so I pulled out 14 bolts and gave it a few taps with a
light hammer, but it's not budging. I thought about prying it but
stopped short to avoid the possibility of damage. Are there any other
bolts that need to be removed besides the 14 on the bottom or anything
else that needs to be done to get the pan off? I know the pan has never
been off before, so it may just be that it needs a little persuading.
