This is the first time I've written on this list, but I have a question.
I'm putting the top end on in the morning on a 72 Eldo.
I have a new cyl. piston set and I've never done an aircooled motor
before.
I was told to leave the rings dry,is this right? I always dipped the
pistons & rings
in oil on watercooled engines.
I have new Gilrdoni kits.
If I don't get an answer I think I'll oil them.
Cheers

 Hi Joe and all,
I had SRM Engineering in Wales lace a set of 19" "Morad" brand rims onto
a customers Falcone just over a year ago. They're nearly a perfect match
for Borrani flanged rims and SRM did an excellent job at about half the
cost of what I was quoted in the US. That may have changed since the
exchange rate is less favorable now. They drill the blank rims to spec.
and may have 16" ones available. From what I've heard Morad is the
former Akront factory under new owners.

Cheers,

Charlie.

Locating a 16" Borani might be a little tough, but I think there are new

flanged alloy rims available from Buchannon, perhaps Central Wheel in
England too, that are a pretty good match.
