Hi Paul and all,
Had a good time this weekend at the rally that almost wasn't. Thursday
is usually setup day for Bill Sharp and crew, but of course Isabel had
other plans. Friday was better, but the access road to the rally site
was by then dangerously close to being under water. Despite all this
everything got set up and by Friday evening at 5, about 10 people were
there enjoying Bill's great chili and homemade cornbread by yours truly.
In all about 25 total showed before dark - less than hoped, but more
than expected given the conditions.

Saturday dawned clearing and cool, turning sunny and warm during the
group ride to the "Wild Goose Brewery" for a tour. I split off from the
group at the brewery and went home to switch from the Falcone to the
Ambo so there would be at least one of each type at the rally at some
point. After I returned to the rally site, Brian Murphy arrived on his
beautiful '74 Eldo to visit for a while. Great to see you again Brian!
Nice to see Lannis again too. Total attendance by then was up to just
under 50 - pretty good considering.

Only two more events left on my calendar - the Italian Motofest this
coming weekend and the British & European Bike show in Leesburg, VA on
Oct. 5th. Hope the weather is better for both of them, but won't count
on it! Sad to see the season coming to a close. Cheers,

Charlie

Well so much for my plans this past weekend to work on Daisy! Spent most

of my time cleaning up in the aftermath and throwing away a whole
freezer of food! On a positive note, I did get myself a generator but
was not too happy when I got it out of the box and found a 1 gallon tank

on it! Well Daisy came to the rescue and donated her 5.9 gallon tank to
extend my run time. Pictures are available on request of my Guzzi fueled

generator. At least we have power back now and Daisy can get her tank
back. :) Hope all the folk up North of me came out ok after the storm.
