Subject: Civilian/Police Dash Question

Greetings,
I'm going to be adding an original spotlight set up to my '70 Ambo. My
single pod civilian dash isn't notched for the top brackets and I'd
prefer not to cut it. I've seen some civvy bikes that have the notches.
Was this done by the owner or were spotlights optional on the civilian
bikes? If so, does anyone have one of these dashes they'd be willing to
sell?
If I have to switch to a police dash, will I need to mess with the
wiring? Can my ignition switch be mounted in it or do I have to relocate
it? I've seen single gauge police dashes and there's an area under the
speedo that looks like it might be big enough to drill and mount the
ignition switch in. Any insight?
