I will be interested to see how long Mike's quiet brakes last, before the
squeal returns. I have done a similar treatment on my Eldo brakes about half
dozen times. Each time the squeal and grabbing return in about a month.
Next week I plan to again pull the front brakes and this time I am taking
them to a local old fashioned brake shop to be relined and arced to the drum
radius. This is the cheap guy fix ($35) and if that does not work I will send the
brake assembly to Vintage Brakes in CA and bite the $$ bullet.
I will let the list know how this comes out.
