I have used these sleeves for years semi tractors & trailers.I never had
any problems Chicago Rope seals or sleeves.

 John,
Do you have a groove worn on the crank from the seal? Chicago Rawhide
sells something called a Speedi-Sleeve
(http://www2.chicago-rawhide.com/speedi_sleeves.htm) which is a thin
tube that slips on to worn seal bearing to restore the grooved surface.
Each Speedi-Sleeve fits a range of ODs. I might have to try on one my Eldo.

Bruce, My 2nd front this year is leaking also!

I'm thinking about having an undersized one cut from this place.
