Yee-haw Lannis! It's great to have another loop in the neighborhood. I'm
still working on the right set-up for the Italian police fairing I bought
for mine. I'm now leaning toward a homemade light bar w/ driving lights &
turnsignals, & removing the teardrop signals I put on. I also fabricated
brackets to mount the fairing to the lower triple-tree bolts, eliminating
the mounts using the headlight bolts. I'll 'glass in the holes from the
teardrops & headlight mount bolts & the look will be smoooth.
I rode the old boy up to the Italian moto fest in Shepardstown WVA, then
continued over into SW PA to visit w/my brothers & pick up some REAL
Keilbassa (Had a cooler bungeed to the seat behind me). Strider ran great,
but is now leaving little puddles of oil beside the rear wheel. Ah-well it
was cold & I really did hammer him hard coming down 81 on the way home. He's
a whole lot happier at 55-65 than 65-75, & gets downright indignant when I
push up into the 80+range.
Hey, where exactly do you live? I was killing time in my VW (waiting until
the inspection station opened) & passed a "Selz" mailbox out beyond Dave
Smiths Foreign Car junkyard (a familiar haunt of mine for over 25 years).
I'm working on getting my Guzzi parts stash into better order, so I know
what I have & can find it! I don't have a lot of loop stuff, but check w/me
first if you need anything. The only solo saddle I have was made for a Tonti
frame bike, but you're welcome to look & see if it can be adapted. I have no
decent funky hard bags. I may be picking up a tired Eldo that has a set of
Wixoms though-I'll let you know.
