Just got into riding when I was 45. After a Shadow and Gold Wing I wanted a
bike to restore with some character, some personality. Was negotiating on a
ratty Shovelhead. After being jerked around by the dealer, I began looking up
Moto Guzzi on the web. I remembered seeing a late 90s California on the street
and liked the MG look. Found some pics of Loopframes and just knew that was
the bike. Found one in Walnecks in NC. A 71 Ambo unrestored and running.
Bought it when I saw it. I trailered it back to PA. Got plenty of thumbs up
on the way home.
Spent some solid months bonding with it in the garage. Running pretty well
now. I get a big smile just when I see it. You know thats a good thing!
Glad that Harley option fell through. Loops forever!
