How have other listers started their assembly process? Any
particular order of putting the bike back together? What did you
put the frame on to start to mount parts on to frame (without
wheels)? I considering using a strong table to put the frame on.

Your approach mirrors my process. I did not have a table but used old
carpet on the floor to help pad me! The oil pan sits lower than the
frame so sitting the engine in it allows you to lift the frame and feed
the front and rear mount bolts. Hang the swing arm. With friends I had
to finally lift it onto a bike jack to get the height needed to mount
the forks....by then my back was looking forward to
a stool with wheels to zip around the bike.

Be sure to keep a photo record of the event to share with us.
