Many autombile electrical suppliers sell fuse blocks that will accept
the ATO style automotive fuses . The cost is reasonable and the results
are very professional . The ATO style fuse holders will also accept
circuit breakers that reset after the excessive load is removed from the
circuit . If you are after a real slick set up , aircraft electrical
sulliers have real nice magnetic circuit breakers . My favorites look
like a toggle switch and can easily be used to turn that circuit off
while servicing .
The auto style fuse blocks can be installed in the headlight shell if
you want to preserve the original look of the bike while upgrading to a
better, more readily available fuse . They even come with a nice clear
plastic cover .
The headlight location is a PITA in some ways but it does keep the
fuses high and dry and with good electrics under normal conditions the
fises rarely need be accessed .

Another option for the fusebox in the headlight shell is fabricate a
plate and mount the fusebox to the immediate left side of the battery.
Then you can access the fuses by simply removing the left side battery
cover. Pictures available on request.

I
have rewired several bikes starting with a car fusebox (from a
junkyard),
relocated to the right side toolbox.
