Umm, only problem I see here is that you would have to get Eldo disc
forks to fit the Eldo trees as T tubes will not fit unless you machine
the top tree. And if you run the T trees, then you will have to make a
new fork stop as your handlebars will turn to much.

 Hi Dave
Are you running a disc on your Eldo?
I have a an 850 T front-end. I'd like to use the
original dash board and
I'm not sure how to handle the fender issue.
Any suggestions?

Howdy Tom, I just looked at a picture of Ken's racer
and it looks different from what I remembered!

My bike and Ken's race bike can be found at:

http://www.classicguzzi.com/

My bike is *ahem* less prominently featured, but
surely worth a few extra mouse-clicks.

The difference between Loop and T front ends is in the
distance between the fork tubes. The old bike is
actually wider soooooo:

(1) You can run the whole T front end including
triple trees and SS fender a la Ken Pitts original
receipe. To do this you just slip a spacer under the
bottom bearing. Chrome your rear fender to match and
drink in the accolades of the less fortunate.

Problems? You are going to have a little fabrication
to do to run the Eldo dash. Alternative Solution?
Get the less attractive "T" dash and put in the Eldo
instruments. Grrr, racy.

(2) Run all of the above and section an Ambo/Eldo
fender to suit. Cut a strip out of the center and Tig
weld it back together. Fab straps to mount to the
fork sliders and buy a set of Cali II fender braces
from the good folks at MG Cycle. Once the money tree
is bare black rustoleum from the bomb can and tape
pinstripes from Auto Zone will have you styling and
profiling.

Problems? None that cubic money/shop time can't cure.
See instrument panel solutions above.

(3) Chuck out the "T" triple tree and use an Eldo
one. It bolts up. Slip your illicitly obtained 35 MM
tubes/sliders/wheel/brake into place and marvel at
your cleverness. The stock dash and fender are ready
to roll! Er, almost...

Problems? See above concerning straps and fender
braces the real deal NOS is more like NFW. You will
need to tap the fork caps so you can use the stock
dash mounts. Cut a big slot in the top of each one to
thread it into the tube with your BSA factory tool.

Oh, yeah you will need to make your own axle + spacer
and a disc spacer for each disk you run. I run a
single disk (I'm married!) Chris Mitchell is going to
run a couple (he's single!). Where is the good news?
The Brembo calipers will bolt right up.

Serious racers like Ken and myself run a 12mm M/C and
a single F09 caliper on the left fork leg. Tom LaNasa
swears that only Galfer pads are worth considering. I
plan to challenge Ken to a single race, winner take
all, as soon as I get my HO scale "Dukes of Hazzard"
track set up. I have been tweaking the Sheriff Hogg
Police car (it lights up!) and am ready to take on all
comers.

DW, ready to ride in chilly NYC
