Just be careful to restrain it from running against the exhaust header. The cable housing has a plastic outer, a steel coil structural inner, and another smooth plastic internal liner. The actual twisted movable cable slides inside this smooth inner sheath. I once installed a cable that lasted exactly one month. It inadvertently got moved against the header. The outer plastic melted quickly. The innner steel structural coil now picked up and transmitted heat all over the place. The inner sheath melted like a puddle of glue. When the bike cooled down, the entire business locked up like an old tube of model airplane glue. Clutch was zero until I installed a new cable.
