I saw an ad in the November Classic Bike Guide for "Dial Glide" rear
shocks (see page 107). They have progressive springs and adjustable
damping for 100 English pounds. At 12.9 inches they would suit.
Perhaps Mr. Quinn would know something about this. I am running 13.5"
Marzotchkis with a similar ride height increase up front. It keeps the
hard parts from dragging in the old switchbacks, right Roberto?
