Subject: Atlanta Moto Show.....Guzzi doing it's thing!

 Hey All,

Went to the Atlanta Motorcycle Show yesterday....met up with Ed...ran into
Mark Tenny and Barb Nowell. Small world eh?

Pretty good showing for Moto Guzzi. They had a good location and their
current line of bikes there. No Griso or MGS-01 unfortunately but the
bikes
appeared to be getting a lot of attention.

I was most interested in the Breva. I have been looking for a bike that is
small and nimble for my girl...a good bike to start out on. She sat on it
and she liked it. Now all I have to do is wait for the year old, $4000
deal
 to come along :-)

What REALLY turned me off at the MG display was seeing how the Moto Guzzi
reps treated their customers. As I was looking at the bikes I began
talking
with this fellow. He explained that he owned a 2002 EV with about 3,000
miles on it. He was frustrated that the bike had never seen rain but was
rusting on the tank, the chrome was peeling and the tranny would not hold
the gear. I mentioned to the MG rep that this is something that needed to
be
dealt with and all this rep could do was make excuses about how ALL bikes
break down and that he should go and see his dealer. I don't know about
the
rest of you folk but had I been the rep I would have spent a little more
time trying to appease this guy. If it was my company I would have
delivered
a new EV to the guy...taken his old one back and made it right.

How is MG to build a reputation with this kind of attitude....and what is
this poor fellow going to say about Moto Guzzi to his friends? To be
honest...as much as I am interested in the Breva....how can I buy a bike
where the quality control is in question...no to mention the company
support
if I happen to get a dud bike?

I wonder how many other people are feeling the same way?

OK.......I apologize for the soap box tirade...just had to let it out. I
love the bikes, those who ride them and want to see this company survive.
I
am just continually frustrated with the poor attitude of this company.

LOOP CONTENT: I love my Loops.

Ciao...Ian
