Subject: Tranny Rear Cover Removal

I'd like to put a 5 speed in my '70 Ambo. I bought a late model tranny
and a rear cover from an Eldo to switch out so my speedo hook up will
work. Is there a way to remove the nut from the output shaft without the
special tool? This is my first experience with a Guzzi tranny. Any tips
would be greatly appreciated. The factory shop manual is pretty much
worthless for this job.
