Hi Matt,

I think this is one of those things that always seems in debate. Personally
I break them loose then retorque. At least it will not be neglected which
ever way you choose to go about it.

Thanks Mike.
I actually already had that printed out. That is why I am going to
retorque, per his recommendation.
I guess I need just need to ask then, what is the preferred way to
retorque: loosen then retorque, or just torque'm.

I have run my Eldo several times since replacing the cylinders with
the Nikasil set. I have heard that it is a good idea to retorque the head
after several heat/cooldown cycles.
I have also heard 2 ways for doing the retorque, some just put the
torque wrench on and make sure the bolts are tightened to the proper value,
or some have loosened the bolts (in sequence) then retorqued.

Which is the preferred or best method? Does it really need to be done.

I have pictures with the tank and seat mounted, if anybody wants them,
but no pics of me with it 'cause it's not finished yet. I just got the
POR-15 kit and will most likely be doing that this weekend as I am going to
be leaving for Daytona on Thursday.
