the POR-15 thing worked OK, but I just busted the bung off of one of the petcocks (OUCH!!!) Larry got me in touch with Stan's BMW Service in Gainesville, FL who got me a used tank in good condition.
West Valley Instruments in Reseda, CA. They got me a VDO bezel and glass for about $33. If you send me an email direct, I can give you their info, as I don't have it on me now.

Hey curious how the POR-15 works on your tank. I ahve one ready to go back together less that fix.
As well, I am in search of glass and bezel for my speedo for a 73 eldo. Anyone know other than sending the entire speedo out to the guys in CA (pricy!)
