Les,

Here is a good start for your manuals.

I guess it's time for me to confess here. Les is buying my Ambo.

And happy I am about that too! Besides, it's much easier to type
Darrell
than it is "the fellow I'm buying the Ambo from"... :-)

Another case of Mike's web page being a great way to sell your bike. Of
course, I think that Mike was actually doing some pitching in this case.
Looks like I owe you a commission, or at least a beer or two. Thanks,
Mike.

It's not actually all that easy to find a particular bike if you're not
"in
the know" and/or already know who to talk to. An eBay and Cycle Trader
popped up some possibilities but nothing like I got from Mike's site
with
the great photos and description. And I had Mike to talk to as well,
which
really helped.

Since I posted here I received many emails from folks right here in my
neck-of-the-woods with all sorts of offers for help and information.
What a
great community! I'm so looking forward to getting out on the road this
summer and getting to meet some of you.

Hopefully, I'll be a little more motivated to work on my LAPD Eldo now.
I'll be putting some miles on my Convert this summer too.

Les, the serial number for your "new" bike is 23959. It was built in May
1971. It is definitely a push button starter.

Hey, great...thanks for that info! Sort of an alignment of the planets
going on here...that's when I graduated from high school (May 1971)!!!
Spooky...
