Sounds like the bags are from a Tonti frame.

A fiew weeks ago,I wrote in about a high rpm bog problem I have with my
73 Eldo.It runs fine to 3/4 throttle,then bogs completly,blackening the
plugs, and will not clear out unless the air box is removed, where you can
then ride through it.I was checking some spare carbs I have when I
discovered that the needles were for a 750 (v5).I checked the carbs on
the bike,same needles!The 850 calls for a sv9 needle.I wonder if this is
my problem?I will have to order the proper needles before I can test
this so it will be a while before I can say yes or no.Has anyone had any
experience with 750 carbs on an 850?All the other parts are correct for
the 850 except the needles. You would think the larger displacement would
call for more fuel, not less. Can someone compare the different needles to
see which is longer/thicker?
While rooting through my bits and parts,I wrote down my serial #'s if
anyone is collecting them.

I have a set of Guzzi saddle bags I would like to learn the history
on.They are black plastic, rectangular, with a raised white Moto Guzzi
logo in block letters on the sides. They open like a lunch box on a piano
type hinge, except the seam is at a 45 degree angle on the sides. They
came with a load of parts when I bought the bike and the seller didn't
know anything about them. They also have rectangular holes in the back
and bottom, apparently for mounting, but there are no brackets with
it.Anyone have any ideas as to what year or model they are from?
Thanks, Dale
