Thanks for the responses; this list has been very helpful.

Charlie - no, the Cheng-Shin's are not cupped - they're practically new
but do seem very stiff, and I think they were taken off a sidecar
(although they don't look like those sidecar tires with those vertical
sidewalls). Whether or not they're the cause of the wobble I'm going to
replace them anyway.

The bike does have a police windscreen that has a piece broken off low
and to the side (I thought that might have some effect), and has
saddlebags as well. The bike did have a sidecar mount at one time. The
engine seems to be strong but the bike suffers from inattention or
'quick' attention to its ancillary systems - just tired and neglected.

The other thought is that the rear shocks look tired and worn and are
already at max adjust.

I'll be taking the bags and mounts off as well as the windscreen.
Frankly, I like the look of the bike better 'naked'.

Thanks again, -tom

Hi Tom,
I use a 110/90-18 front and 120/90-18 rear. Are the Cheng-Shins visibly
cupped or otherwise wearing abnormally? What accessories if any does the

bike have on it (saddlebags, travel trunk, etc.)? Too much rearward
weight bias could possibly cause this. Cheers,

Charlie

I recently bought a '74 Eldo Police and I'm working her into riding
condition. So far, so good, but its got a slight wobble that develops
at
55mph. I've checked for air pressure, loose spokes, run out, steering
head bearings, and swingarm. Everything seems ok, but it still
wobbles.
Its got cheng-shin 4.5x18 P70 on the front & back, which seems too big
to me.

What size tires does everyone recommend?
