If you call MG Cycle, Rick or Gordon can give you a good explanation of
your choices here. I know for a while there were no plates available for
the 2mm hub. There were concerns with riveted plates shearing the rivets,
and the bonded plates were said to be "grabby". I personally have had
pretty good luck with the riveted plates, and I would go with the deep
spline. Beware though, the 4mm input hub is sorta pricey. Make sure you
replace all your tranny seals, clutch push rod seals and the rear engine
main. Might as well do the shift return spring, and replace the flywheel
bolts, too.

I used a 2.0 mm splined Sureflex in my old Eldo "Popeye" and was
very
pleased with it . I have heard no negative comments from it's
current
owner ,Rex Clark so it seems at least all is well . The 4.0 mm is
not a
must but if you are replacing a worn input hub along with the driven

plates it is worth considering .

Kind of curious about this deep spline vs. shallow spline & bonded

abrupt clutch action. What's up with this? Brett in Indy
