John,
Actually, I miscalculated. 102 rpm would give you about a 1.7 mph top
speed in 5th gear. However, an advantage would be that you could
probably start off in 5th gear. With 175,000 ft-lb of torque, you're not
likely to stall. I should mention, however, that with a stock Eldo fuel
tank, you would have a range of about 40 ft between fill-ups.
It's a shame, but I'm beginning to think that whole thing might be
impractical.

Hey, you may not be going very fast, but you sure be stylin' with that
big engine pottering down the street. The coolest part would be all
those little Japanese guys crawling around on it adjusting things and
reading gauges while you're riding it.

I hate to rain on your parade, Cam, but any fool can tell that this
engine ain't gonna work. I do agree that 200,000 hp looks appealing, but

if you look carefully at the specs, you will notice that the engine
red-lines at 102 rpm. Even with a 5-speed tranny, yer maximum speed is
gonna be about 10 mph at the very most.

I spent the entire weekend thinking of a way to get this to fit in my
Eldo. Any ideas? Mark? DW?
