Since I sold Les my Ambo, I decided to help Gary Cheek clean out his
garage so he could fit some more spine frames in there. I now own another
pick-up load of Guzzi parts. There is about half of a '99 Bassa 1100, and
an '86 Le Mans frame. I've got the fuel injected 1100 mill, 5 speed
trans, 45mm Marzocchi adjustable forks, dual 320mm 4 puck Brembo brakes,
cool spoked tubeless wheels. There is no bodywork, so this is a blank
canvas.

Right now, I'm thinking about a sort of updated V7 sport. I'll either use
a v7 Sport style tank, or maybe buy a polished aluminum tank from MG
Cycle. Go with a V7 sport seat or the 750S seat that MG sells. I suppose
I could try the radical Loop bobber look too. I just bought the "Three
Mile Island" tank that was on eBay. I was gonna repaint it, but it might
be perfect for the new project. Anybody got any other suggestions?

Gary gave me a set of 36mm Delorto pumpers, in case I wanted to go that
route instead of the injection. That sounds pretty comforting to an old
fashioned guy like me. If I did this I would drop a distributor back in
it too, and ditch the Digiplex. I think this is probably the wrong thing
to do though. I'm sure the performance would most likely suffer. Any of
you modern Guzzi riders got any advice?

I guess I should just get back to restoring the LAPD Eldo.
