I would try it since you have the bits already. I find the Eldo gearing to be pretty low, that's why I like it as a commuter bike. I just trickle along as Chris Mitchell can attest.
The last pic looks kinda' like Dinosaur Land at Double Tollgates (the intersection of US340 and US522 just north of Front Royal, VA).
