I mounted it sideways. I have used a Sears Tractor battery and the
current (snicker) Panasonic sealed jobby. There is plenty of room in
there and I was thinking of fabbing up a metal toolbox to save room in
the real toolboxes for swim-trunks, fruit-by-the-foot and the like. I
have a Popeil Pocket Fisherman(TM) on back order from Lillan Vernon.
Whether it will fit or not remains to be seen.
