Tom,

Pat Tillman was one of a kind. It is a tragedy when any of our service men
and women are killed or wounded, but Tillman's passing was very hard to
take. The man had it all, and post 9/11 decided to give it all up to serve
his country. I do not mean to take anything away from any other service
people in terms of recognizing their sacrafices, but this guy had no reason
to do what he did other than pure love for his fellow man and country. No
grandstanding, no big send-off and no interviews or press realeases.......he
just served. I am so humbled by this man's courage and sacrafice it is
beyond mere words. His passing has really affected a lot of people, many
who never knew him personally, but marvelled at his commitment and
dedication. May he rest in peace.....

Hi All,

I am sure that you have heard of the former Arizona Cardinal football
player turned Army Ranger dying in Afghanistan.

He quit football, turning his back on a multi-million dollar contract
with the Arizona Cardinals, to fight the good fight against Al Qiada.

I had met Pat a few times up in Flagstaff during the pre-season training
camps. I took a few pic of him and my friend Karen, together.
I also spoke with him a few times at the Cardinals training facility in
Tempe. He was a really nice guy, always having time for fans. He would
come over to my Cardinal's fan club group after a football game, and
give us high-fives, and sometimes toss us a glove or something. He was
really a fan favorite..

Pat was something else! He will be missed..........

Thank you for listening.
