Got this from a friend - not sure if a joke:

In an historic move Wednesday, Aprilia SpA chief Ivano Beggio
announced a
new partnership between his Moto Guzzi and The Eicher Group,
manufacturers
of Royal Enfield motorcycles in India.

"Today begins a new partnership that solves our immediate needs and
provides
opportunities for both brands in the future, both in terms of expanded
markets and manufacturing opportunities," Beggio said through an
interpreter.

When the guzzi dealer went under here last year, he was selling off
new Cali sport specials at 7 grand. He even had some on ebay. They
really need to clean house. Maybe Vespa - Piaggo will buy them, They
seem to be knowing what to do. They have been out of the US for years
and in there first 2 years back, they are a hit or at least in the
Tampa bay area. I see more Vespa's than the cheep junk Chinese
scooters. Of course their dealers look more like a Macy's showroom
than a bike shop but maybe that's what it takes
