Greg >the cheapest and BEST exhaust that I've found is 1.5" ss pipe. You will have to get the end to the header swaged a lil larger. It will help after you get it swaged if you make cuts it the end 3/4" deep at 90* increments-use a whiz wheel. This will allow the clamps used to get a good grip on the pipe and get it tight. You will notice an increase in noise but only at high revs will it be annoying-not to you because you'll luv it but to others riding behind you. You will have done away with the xover. The cost for the pipes is about $30 and $10 more to get an exhaust shop to swage the end. For less than $50 you got a custom exhaust. Figure out a way to tie in the exhaust end to the rear of the bike or make hangers to help with holding the pipes on. You will luv the inventivness!!!.......KO

i'm looking for a stock look mufflers for the 74 eldo i'm building - any ideas where i can get them inexpensively? - i can skip the crossover pipe if need be...
also, i'm still looking for a police dash/speedo/etc. assembly...
