Hi Greg,
"Stock look" and "inexpensively" really narrows it down. MAC makes two
styles that resemble the stock civilian and police mufflers, they sell
for about $250/pr. if I remember correctly. Try Mark @ Moto Guzzi
Classics or Moe @ Cycle Garden for them. Both can probably help you with
the dash/speedo also. Other "stock looking" mufflers (reproductions from
EPCO Stainless - $475/pr. and MG Cycle - $350/pr.,) will cost a bit more
but will have the crossover.

For about the last year I had been using a pair of JC Whitney "extra
long megaphone mufflers". While washing the Ambo last Friday I
discovered that the mounting "channel" on the right muffler had cracked
where the mounting bolt was. Not really a big problem to remedy. I plan
to make a piece to fit inside the channel with several threaded holes
and make a triangular shaped bracket. That way it will have two bolts to
support it instead of one and the load will be spread over a wider area
of the channel. Still a good buy at $50 ea., even if you do have to
fabricate some better mounts.

Anyway, I had a pair of good, stock, "torpedo" mufflers and a crossover
that I'd been saving for another project. Instead of taking the time to
fab a new mount for the JCWs, I mounted these up. The first ride after I
installed them showed how much performance had been missing before. The
'69 is much stronger in the low-end and mid-range, and on the WV Rally
trip my gas mileage was over 5 mpg better. I'm convinced there is value
in having a crossover. Just my $.02 worth! Cheers,

inexpensively? - i can skip the crossover pipe if need be...
also, i'm still looking for a police dash/speedo/etc. assembly...
