Hi Ray,
I've bought reproduction grab rails and have a bunch of OEM ones too,
both are the same. The only ones that have larger holes are those that
have been modified by someone for some unknown reason. I guess if you
let the fasteners at the attachment points get and stay loose for a long
time they could wear the holes larger. Cheers,
