Lannis:
I resurrected that bike years ago for my wife, Suzanne. When I went to put the bench seat on, it was a bit too tall for her, so I reached into my pile of parts and came up with a seat that I took off of a Harley chopper that I restored 20 years ago. It had a made in Italy tag to boot. Had to make up a couple of brackets, but didn't have to modify the frame. We all think it looks really cool, and you can see the back fender.
I originally thought I could use it as a penance for her (Bad girl--go ride your bike) but she always came back smiling.
As far as comfort, Suzanne says it fits her fine bottom just fine. I can send you closeups of it if you're really interested (the seat, not the bottom). It took her from Ohio to Sturbridge, CT and back with no complaints a few years back. As for me, I was on a Laverda SF1 and 100 miles at a go was my limit, that thing is a torture rack for touring (I'm 6'6"), but lots of fun for fast and twisty.

Hi Lannis,
I'll defer to John Prusnek on this question. Doesn't look too
comfortable to me either, but I guess it depends on the derriere perched
upon it.

Hope to see you (and many other Loopers) at the VA Rally this weekend.
My buddy Joseph from Middletown, MD is planning on riding his Sears
Allstate (Puch) 250 (two-stroke, "twingle"). I should be arriving around
7:30 or so. See ya',

I pulled up your site and saw the beautiful clean Ambassador there on
the front page.

Then I noticed that someone had installed some sort of Inquisitional
torture device in the space where most of us have what we call a "seat"
installed.

It certainly looks..uh...clean and ..hmmm.. functional. Was it actually

chosen (as far as you know) for comfort, or was it for style, or is it
some sort of penance? My sacroiliac is beginning to ache just from
looking at it.
