22mm is correct. I just sold a NOS updated cover (for 22mm throw out
bearing) on eBay just recently, but I think Mark may have some too.

The other alternative is to rebore the opening and put the 5 speed needle bearing type in there. Can someone confirm that he needs to bore the opening to 22mm. Predicting that he would need to rebore we pulled the back end from the 4 speed. The insides were perfect. Amazing after 35 years! One thing we noticed was a piece of metal at the top of the tranny....identified as an "cup - oil pick up (12 20 20 00) Tavola 9 - #33". Anyone know why that was put in there? It isn't in the 5 speeds and we were speculating. Working on these Loops is so much fun...So easy. ...We'll keep you posted...Ian |
