Ian, Harpers sells a needle bearing that will fit
right in the 4-speed cover without any boring out at
all. It rides between to washer-like races. I've been
using one (obtained from Sport Cycles) for 6 years now
with no problems. It's cheeper and easier then
swapping cases or boring your old one: ~$19.
