I am more interested in the smaller, lighter alternator's ability to
prevent breaking its mount than in the increased output.

What does the alternator bracket attach to on the block?

Thanks

Stock generator is rated at 300 watts.

The alternator is rated at 40 amps. Mine charges at a steady 14.5
volts. Assuming the amperage rating is accurate, 40 amps * 14.5 volts =
580 watts. Percentage-wise, almost double.

Just for curiosities sake, how much more power does that generate than
the stock generator, percentagewise do you figure?

Hi Todd,
The conversion I'm working on uses a ND alternator from a Suzuki
Samurai. Very compact alt. with dual internal cooling fans and 40A
output. The Samurai pulley is even perfectly sized and has the correct
angle V groove. I'll be removing the stock mounting ears and then
mounting it from the front instead. Cheers,

Components only or ready to go, I'm interested in seeing what you can
put together. I definitely need more juice than the genny gives out.
Let me know more about specifics. Or at the least, what alternator
you
run to get such great results.
