Aw Charlie, you let the cat out of the bag, I was hoping to keep that
one my little secret until I had saved up enough $100 bills. I kept
thinking about it all the way home, didn't help that on the trip home I
stopped at my folks and recieved an early birthday present; "Moto Guzzi
Big Twins". The bike has an interesting story behind it too if I
recall.
Sam and I had a great time at the swap meet, we both had our hands full
of "bargains". We ran into Ian at about every stall that had Guzzi
parts, finally picked up a "Classic Guzzi" T-shirt from Mike Skaggs, and
ran into Joe Kenny and Pat Galbraith about everywhere we went. Kept our
eyes open for you Charlie, but didn't see you. I understand there was
some sort of race going on at the park too.

If anyone is looking for a nice V700 to fix up, Milligan Cycle Shop
(Wolcott, IN (219)279-2280) had a complete but partially disassembled
one with some interesting accessories for sale. The bike was a white one

w/black panel on the tank and red pinstriping. The original paint looked

good as did the chrome panels. It had the "long-nosed" police fairing
(exactly the same as mine, only much nicer condition), optional metal
legshields and the police saddlebag mount with small metal 'bags. They
were asking $2000 for everything and would not separate. If I had the
bucks it would be in my garage now. Nice thing is it wouldn't have to be

(and shouldn't be in my opinion) restored, rather just cleaned up,
polished, the mechanicals put right and ridden. Hope this interests
someone...
