Ok, so here's another question. I am planning to use stock floorboards
on my 73 Eldo. After Jeff's dilemma came up and I checked the
appropriate parts on my bike, I noticed that the end of the shaft he was
concerned about (the one that goes into the left rear hole of the tranny
and sticks out to the left footpeg) does not line up with any of the
support holes in the floorboard rail. This shaft is listed in the parts
book in Plate 9, #13, part #1325 1165. However, in the police addendum
it is in Table 9, #30, part #1325 1240. Obviously two different parts.
In order to use the stock floorboards do I need to find the police
version of the shaft and if so, where does the far left end of this
shaft go? Does anyone have one for sale or trade (thinking ahead)?
