I cleaned mine up nicley with an air conditioner condenser coil cleaner made
for alum. I went to an a/c supply house and picked up a can, sprayed it on,
it foamed off all the gunk and then I rinsed well with water. Worked real
well. Make sure you get the one made for alum. , not the acid based.

What Greg said, for engine case. That stuff turns some tranny cases and
timing case covers gray. If so on yours, instead of the Eagle 1, use a
powder called Barkeeper's friend (like Comet).
