Greg has a good idea for a cheap and easily obtainable replacement
o-ring (I'm a personal fan of hardware store finds that function
perfectly well).
Alternatively, you could purchase a premade one (Harpers is the only
dealer *that I know of* that offers these...around 8 bucks, *I think*).
It is nothing more than a solid length of round rubber around 4 or 5 mm
in diameter. You simply coil it inside the headlight ring with the ends
meeting.
