if i remember reading correctly, greg f. remarked in his book that they thought the extra wieght of the police(in your case 20mm)boxes and other reward mounted equiptment had something to do with the wobbling. not enough wieght in the front to equal it out. i have the police fairing on my ambo and never had a problem at 70-75 mph that its been ridden down the freeway.

Hi Bruce,

I have the stock fairing on my Ambo (with no steering damper) and only
notice the collywobbles when I have my "big iron" 20mm ammo box bags
installed. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it has been
my observation.

BTW, I'm jealous of your new metric hole punches...and also grateful for
your tip to the MGNOC...fixed my leaking petcocks right up. Thanks!

My Eldo has a Wixom Ranger fairing and I haven't experience any sort of
collywobbles with it even with the speedo reading 80+. Is the Ranger
immune
to such bad influences or haven't I gone fast enough to experience them?

PS - was over in Europe this year and I picked up some metric hole
punches.
Now my fuel petcock gaskets should fit all that much better!
