The fork caps are 36mm (if you need a socket, Sears usually keeps them
in stock and they only cost $7 or so).

The rubber isolators will need to be removed first, then the fork caps.
The isolators may split apart when you try to remove them, then you'll
probably have to grab what's left with Vise-Grips.

It shouldn't take more than the socket, a 1/2" breaker bar and maybe a
cheater pipe. Hopefully nobody has cross-threaded them! Probably
wouldn't hurt to use a bit of anti-seize on the threads when you
reassemble to make next time easier. Hope this helps,

The nuts under the dash on the Forks. Are they 34, 36 mm?

The small rubber spacer for the dash screws into them but it appears
they have to come out to change fork oil?

Who ever installed mine must of been a 350lb giant.

any suggestions?
