Scott,
Is the head light going through the original handle bar switches? If so
think about rewiring it so that the switch energizes a small automotive
style relay, $6 at advance auto and 30Amps, and let the relay feed the
head light straight from a battery source. I have done this and get more
voltage to the head light, more current and brighter light. It will take
two relays, one for the low beam and one for the high beam.
