I had an Ambo tank rechromed in 1995 for $150, went back 5 years later
for another and it was $300. Paul's chrome plating in Etters, PA.

| Guzziesti, I am working on a V700 that the owner wants to bring back to stock appearance. The gas tank chrome panels have been painted over. In the best of all worlds, I'll remove the paint to find salvageable chrome, but I don't expect it. I'm trying to come up with cost estimates for various options, so: Anyone have (or know of) a solid V700 tank w/good chrome for sale? Is anyone making/importing reproductions? Has anyone had an early tank rechromed? If so, how much $? Who did it? Thanks, Ron Komoroski |
