Going through this rear end on my El Dorado and there is definitely too much play in the rear wheel bearings. I ordered parts for the Ambassador from MG cycle today and tried to get some shims for adjusting wheel bearings, guzzi part # 95100715, and 95100727 but they were out. anyone know where I can get some? there are none at all in the Eldo and it definitely has too much play (Thanks to Greg Bender for the suggestion on how to check this without having to put the wheel back on!) Also was wondering if anyone knows a source for the little screw which holds the points down. As in lots of old engines, the one I have is pretty chingered up and hard to tighten. Thanks for all the suggestions as to how to solve my backfiring problem, I am going through them all 1 by 1 and hope to have it sorted out soon.
