I picked up a parts bike G5, I am going to weld a tab on the swing arm for
the drum brake stabilizer and put it on
my eldo, this way I can use the newer cheaper U-Joints. The loop ones are
getting expensive. I have seen tonti swing
arms on ebay go real cheap.

Hi Steve,
All Big Twins with rear drum brake use the same cardan joint. This would
include the 850T and V7 Sport. The later version for the disc-braked
bikes could be machined, but you'd have to disassemble it first I'd
think. Moto International used to sell "crosses and caps" to rebuild
them, don't know if they still do.

I've bought a couple off of eBay ranging in price from $45 to $100. The
best deal I got was one for $75 that is like new. Another in the same
condition cost me $100 a few months ago. $45 will get you one good
mostly for a spare. Cheers,

according to guzziology they are different but T's can be machined to
fit. Unfortunately for me it's a 220 mi. roundtrip to the nearest
machine shop. (Did I tell everyone I live in the middle of nowhere?)

Do the ones for the early Tonti's (- the Vert) fit the Loops across the
board?
