Hi Steve,

The special tool is not required...just makes life easier...definitely
doable without it, just take your time so that you don't bend the
intermediate plate.

Yes, an old hub is just a good as the special tool. Not sure where to
get an old 2mm hub, though.

I'm cleaning and polishing the Eldo for reassembly, after much debate
decided to wait on the RAM clutch till next year and just replace the
friction plates for now. On the subject of Clutch re-assembly how hard
is it to do without an alignment tool? Is buying an alignment tool ala
MG cycle worth the $. Is it true an old clutch/trans input gear can be
used? If so does anyone know where I can get one? (I have old style
2mm splines on my hub. I guess that's enough questions for one post.
